James Hutson “Pee Wee” Rowe, III, age 80, of Steele City, FL, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.

Pee Wee was born February 3, 1942 in Kynesville, FL to the late Clower “Dutch” Rowe and Allie S. (Fennell) Rowe. Pee Wee went to the Kynesville School before beginning his career in construction. He previously worked at Gulf Asphalt before opening his own business, Triangle Construction Road Building, that he operated for 32 years in Panama City, Florida. Pee Wee was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge 206 and enjoyed his time with his fellow Masons. He also enjoyed working and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Irvin Rowe; along with his sister, Margaret Hinson.

Pee Wee is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sandra Faye (Jackson) Rowe; daughter, Lela Faye (Rowe) Taylor and husband, Scotty of Cottondale; sisters, Martha Bennett of Palatka, FL, Sue Bergman of Niceville, FL and Fannie Kirkland of Cottondale, FL; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Daniels and husband Ty, Ciara Baggett and husband Ashton, and Mason Taylor; four great grandchildren Sawyer Baggett, Stella Baggett, Halle Daniels, and Casen Daniels.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Cottondale, FL with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Mark Akerson and the amazing staff at Emerald Coast Hospice for the care and compassion shown during this difficult time.
