Mr. Nehemiah J. Gilbert age 30 of Marianna, FL, passed away Tuesday November 23, 2021, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 11th at Holyneck M. B. Church located 3395 Cemetery Lane Campbellton, Florida with Reverend Richard Peterson officiating, interment will follow in Mt. Zion M. B. Church Cemetery located 5382 Old U.S. Road Malone, FL 32445 with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, Florida directing.
A public viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, December 10th, at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Nehamiah Jacquez Gilbert, affectionately known as “NeNe” was born November 8, 1991 in Marianna, FL.
He gave his life to the Lord at an early age and later rededicated his life to the Lord.
In 2010, he graduated from Marianna High School. He later went on to obtain his certification and CDL license to drive semi-trucks (a job he loved). He bought a truck and started his own business “Gilbert & Sons Trucking”. He didn’t mind working hard to reach his dream. He worked different jobs away from home, in hopes of supporting his trucking business. He wanted to become successful in the trucking business and acquire more trucks. His dream was to extend his business to include family…“A Family Operated Business”.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved listening to rap music and eating mashed potatoes, noodles and macaroni. When he ate Sunday dinners at his grandparent’s house, he always said “I’ll bring up the rear” in hopes of getting what remained of the potatoes. After all, his grandmother did make them especially for him. When he wasn’t with family, he was hanging with his friends or at home with his dog YaYa and special friend Kitana or playing a game.
He is survived by his loving parents: V. Michelle Walker & Andre Walker, of Marianna, FL; a loving brother: Lucas Walker of Marianna, FL; Grandparents: Edward & Claddie Gilbert of Marianna, FL, and Prophet William & Betty Moore of Midway, FL; Loving Uncles: Minister Lonnie Gilbert (Kiandra) of Campbellton, FL, English Gilbert of Blakely, GA, and Tory Walker (Penny) of Midway, FL; Loving Aunts: Keisha Jones (Eddie) of Marianna, FL and Tammy May (Lumon) of Pensacola, FL; a Loving Special Lady: Kitana Hill and his Loving dog (YaYa) both of Marianna, FL; he also has an array of Uncles, Aunts, cousins, extended family and friends who will deeply miss his presence on earth.
