Sylvia White has been an LPN nurse and paramedic for 41 years, so long that she honestly can’t remember when she wasn’t taking care of someone. She has worked at Gadsden Emergency Services and with Leon County EMS. Added to her repertoire of duties, she served as a Flight Medic One in Perry, Florida.
She recently retired from Northwest Community Hospital in Chipley as an ER (Emergency Room) nurse. Her official last day was May 17.
After 41 years, Sylvia can now spend time with her dogs, her grandson Ivy and her daughter, Landi. She was raised in Cottondale, Florida and has remained in contact with her many friends there.
Her family will honor her Saturday, May 22 from 5-8 p.m. at the Cottondale Community Center. They invite her friends, family, and co-workers to stop by Saturday to wish her well on her retirement.

Thank you guys so much! I’m so proud of my Mama?
Congratulations Sylvia.
