Ms. Dorothy Yvonne Howard age 65 of Caryville, FL passed away peacefully on January 16, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 27, at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL., with a public viewing being held two hour prior to the service with Elder James M. Bighem presiding and Rev. Dr. Rufus Woods Jr. Eulogist officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy was born in Vernon, Florida on December 18, 1958 to the late Mr. Grady M. Peterson and Mrs. Gloria J. Broxton.
She was a dedicated worker for over 30 years for a food processing manufacture, and she was a good-hearted person who loved her family, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her memory will forever live inside of us and she will forever truly be loved and missed.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Her children: Lenore Nicole (Aaron) Day,Corey Peterson, Sammie Davis Jr., Eugene (Rasheisha) Howard, Loretta Howard, Henry (Cynthia) Howard, Nathaniel (Lateisha) Howard, Clitton Smith and Felicia Howard; Her mother; Gloria J. Peterson, three sisters; Doris (Elder Laymon) Sorey, Ontaya Peterson and Angela (Bob) three brothers; Minister Lashawn Peterson, Grady Mac (Maria) Peterson and Bruce Peterson. Extended mother: Shelia Davis; five extended brothers and sisters: Andre Palmore, Marie Palmore, Abigail Palmore, Janice Palmore and Tina Patton, host of grandchildren and great- grandchildren, one uncle: James Peterson; three aunts: Mae Vann, Annie Davis, and Savannah Fredrick; three maternal aunts: Vera Baker, Jersey Andrews and Janie Randolph and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
