Ms. Betty Jean Johnson age 64 of Jackson County Florida passed away on September 18, 2023 at
UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday September 30 th at the Shira Sr. and
Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL, with
Pastor Lee Capehart officiating. Memorialization will be by Cremation with McKinnie Funeral
Home of Campbellton directing.
Public viewing for family and friends will be held from 4- 6p.m. Friday, September 29 th at the
funeral home.
Betty was born on August 26, 1959 in Jackson County, to the late Ida Mae Speights and Lee
Banks; she attended Jackson County public school and graduated from Marianna High School in
1977.
She leaves cherish memories to her children: Marcus Broxton (Tonya) or Panama City, FL,
Brandon Johnson of Cottondale, FL, Petty Officer First Class Joshua Johnson of Dallas Fort
Worth, TX and Andrea Johnson of Pensacola, FL; two sister: Ira Brown of Ozark, AL and
Angela Owens (Bernard) of Hephzibah, GA; four aunts: Emma Tillman and Louvina Cotton of
Marianna, FL, Louise Pickett of Campbellton, FL, Claddie Gilbert (Edward) of Malone, FL and
a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who loved her
dearly.
