Mr. Charles E. Sorey Sr. affectionately known as “Smokey” age 71 of Jacob City, FL passed away Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Southeast Health in Dothan, AL surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday September 30th at the Second West Baptist Association Church located at 4110 Herring Ave Marianna, Florida, with Reverend Obadiah White officiating, Interment will follow in the St. Mary Cemetery Jacob City, FL with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing.
Public viewing for family and friends will be held from 4- 6p.m. Friday, September 29th at Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Charles was born on May 26, 1952 in Campbellton, Florida to the late Ishmael Sorey and Sarah Hall.
He leaves cherish memories to his wife: Jamaker Sorey; three children: Tamra Janene Balkcom, Charles Sorey Jr. and Camisha Bellamy; four grandchildren: Jeremy Cady, Elijawaun, Terryanah Robinson and Tyler Robinson; three great grandchildren: Audrey Marie Whitehead, Amarion Ce’Andre Jackson and A’mera Janae Daniels; six siblings: Geri Herring, Alice Keith, Mack Williams, Cassandra Davis, Gennette Garvin, Dennis Kirkland and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members and friends who loved her dearly.
