Mr. Matthew Blount Jr. age 63 of Campbellton, FL passed away peacefully at residence on August 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services was be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday Aug. 26th at Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL., with Prophet Willie Clark eulogist officiating along with Reverends Ned Lloyd and Henry E. Olds. Memorialization was by Cremation with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
Matthew Blount Jr was born to the late Reverend Matthew Blount Sr and Verlan Ward on December 25, 1959 in Jackson County Florida.
He later married the love of his life Barbara Ann Ward in 1981. He was a self – employed mechanic and loved his work until he retired due to health reason in 2009. Matthew loved his family and also had a special place in his heart for his ducks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Betty Finn and two brothers: Harry Lee Jones Jr. and Lonnie Lee Olds.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife: Barbara Ann Blount; daughter: Latecia Jackson (Rodney); two grandchildren: Serenity and Genesis Jackson; one sister:Mary Alice Sorey (Quintin); two brothers: L.C. Williams (Mattie Ree) and Monty Townson; five sisters-n-law: Maddie Ward, Annie Ward, Willie Mae Ward, Idene Ward and Patricia Nix (Henry); two brothers-n-law: Willie Ward Jr. and Bobby Lee Ward; niece: Neikesha Grainger; special niece: Sherry Lang (Kevin); Special friends: Quint McCoy, Larry Brown, Dennis Paulk, Frank Daniels (Bobbie) and Floyd Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
