Mr. Louis McCarter Jr., age 66, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Marianna, Florida ( McChapel Community) went home to be with the Lord on Thursday June 6th at the James A. Haley V. A. Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Herma Lee Myrick and Louis McCarter Sr. He attended the Public Schools at Union Grove and Malone High. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army and received an Honorable Discharge, he was employed at Wayne Farms in Dothan, Alabama.
He was preceded in Death by his parents, grandparents, seven uncles, two aunts and other cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday June 15th at 2:00P. M. in the Sanctuary of the McChapel A. M. E. Church located at 4963 Old U. S. Road in Marianna, Florida where the Rev. Christopher Jordan is the Pastor and Pastor Bernard A. Davis and Rev. Coleman Glover will be officiating, interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors and under the direction of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida
He is survived by One brother; Nathaniel Black of West Palm Beach, Florida ;two sisters; Cozey Davis ( Pastor Bernard )of Marianna, Fl. and Gloria Mills of Jacksonville, Florida One uncle Mervin Gibson , One aunt Sallie Gibson, one cousin, Gloria Dickens all of Malone, Florida, special friend-Brother: Donald (Betty) Snelling of Tampa, Florida and several cousins, nieces, nephews and the James A, Haley Veterans Hospital employees, friends and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday June 14th from 2:00P.M. until 6:00P.M. at the M. Sue and Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel at 5441 Cooper Street in Graceville, Florida, and the Remains will be placed in the church one hour prior to the services.
