Mickey Garner, 65 of Dothan, Alabama formerly of Graceville, Florida, departed his earthly home to his Heavenly home, Sunday, February 18, 2024.
A graduate of Graceville High School, Class of 1976, Mickey was Maintenance Supervisor with the Dothan Country Club for several years. Mickey also enjoyed being a horse farrier, blacksmith, and fishing. He was a faithful member of Damascus Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He had a servant’s heart and enjoyed every aspect of being involved with the church and fellowship. His willingness to always be of help whether at work or church will be missed.
Preceded in death by his parents Marion Franklin Garner and Tiny Etta Sasser Garner, two brothers Frank Garner, Kenneth Garner, sister-in-law Agnes Garner and brother-in-law James Brown.
He is survived by one son J. T. Garner, one daughter Jessica Lepko (Michael), three grandchildren Kaiden, C.J., Zera; four siblings Mary Smith, Susie Calloway (James), Shirley Brown, Billy Garner, sister-in-law Linda Garner, a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. (CST), Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Damascus Baptist Church with Bro. Brian Taylor, Jerry Williams, and Gene Brock officiating. Family will receive friends 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
