Melissa Diann Rohde, 52, of Crestview, Florida died Monday, December 25, 2023 at her residence. She was born to Larry Samuel O’Bryan and Wanda Diann McAlpin O’Bryan on January 13, 1971.
She married her “Knight in Shining Armor” in 2007, where they built a life of love and laughter together. Melissa was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grammie. She was selfless and always put her family first.
Melissa was a reflection and beautiful example of God’s love and grace. To know her was to love her. She had a smile that would light up the room and was a very compassionate person, always the first to help people. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. This isn’t goodbye, but “I’ll see you later.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Wanda O’Bryan. Melissa is survived by her loving husband, Chris Rohde; daughters, Brittany Keel and Rylee Rohde; son, Dillon Syfrett; grandchildren, Mason and Noah Keel; uncle, Johnny O’Bryan and wife, Carol; niece, Morgan Laster and husband, Byron; her mother and father-in-law, Dan and Betty Rohde; and a very special friend, Jeanie Hellard.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 30, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Chris Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in Mill Springs Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Saturday, December 30, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
