Linda Jean Mathis, 64, of Marianna, FL, previously of Dothan, AL died Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born August 25, 1959, to John Elbert and Mary Lois Dickerson in Columbia, Alabama. Linda grew up and lived most of her life in the Cameron’s Mill area moving to Marianna to be with her sister the past 10 years. She loved to create with ceramics and was often giving them as gifts during holidays and for birthdays. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a proud and loving mother to her two sons.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chase Aaron Mathis; parents, John and Mary Dickerson; sister, Tammy Lynn Dickerson.
Linda is survived by her son, Michael Dustin Mathis; grandson, Jaxon Gage Mathis; sisters, Judy Stanton (Bill), Maxine Halford; father of her children, Timmy Mathis; and a host of family and friends who loved her dearly.
Funeral service will be in Marianna at10 AM, Friday, June 28, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Billy Gene Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at 11:30 AM in Frith Hill Community Church Cemetery, 110 Frith Hill Rd, Ashford, AL 36312, with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 AM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel in Marianna.
