Indian Circle Resurfacing & PSB Delivery Route Improvements

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed Bids for the construction of the Indian Circle Redevelopment will be received by Chipola College at the office of Steve Young located at 3094 Indian Circle, Marianna, FL, until 10:00 a.m. local time on March 7, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be “publicly” opened and read.

The Project consists of milling and resurfacing approximately 1300 feet of Indian Circle. The construction activities include approximately 706 tons of asphalt, approximately 121 SY of architectural paver sidewalk, associated roadway/parking striping and signage, installation of two curb ramps, and associated landscaping. It also includes making improvements to an existing parking lot including the removal of 0.02 acres of asphalt and 28 SY of existing concrete and the installation of 3.9 tons of asphalt and 202 LF of curb and gutter.

Digital copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained from the Office of the Engineer. Prime Bidders shall be responsible for any required printing of such documents that may be required for preparation of bids and for all associated printing costs. Prime Bidders shall also be responsible for determining which documents apply to each individual construction discipline and for the distribution of these documents to each prospective subcontractor. Engineer/Owner does not assume responsibility for subcontractors not receiving documents related to their discipline. Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered.

DESCRIPTION: The Jackson County Board of County Commissioners is seeking to award a contract for the construction of a Metal Storage Building (Pole Barn) and Concrete Foundation as specified below. The building is to be constructed at the Jackson County Fire Rescue Office located at 5422 Cliff Street, Graceville, FL 32440. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all permits, labor, materials, machinery, and equipment necessary to construct and complete the project.

The building being requested will be used primarily for equipment storage and will be placed on a newly constructed concrete slab foundation. The existing work surface will require some concrete demo as well as concrete installation. There are two 12x12ft rollup doors required on the building, however, no insulation is required.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Thursday, March 17, 2022 by 2:00 pm CST
