TOWN OF GRAND RIDGE
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
Independent Auditing Services
The Town of Grand Ridge is requesting sealed proposals for professional services to provide independent auditing services for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023 and forward. The audit must make an examination of the financial statements of the Town of Grand Ridge, as of September 30, 2023, and render an opinion of these statements. The examination is to be conducted in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and governmental auditing standards and should include tests of the accounting records and such other auditing procedures as necessary to accomplish this purpose.
Firms interested in submitting a proposal to provide the services must provide the following information:

  1. General Requirements – Present qualifications, competence and capacity of the firm to undertake an independent audit of the Town of Grand Ridge;
  2. Firm Qualifications and Experience – Proposal should include the size of the firm’s governmental audit staff, the number and nature of the professional staff to be employed in this engagement on a full-time or part-time basis. The firm shall also provide information regarding their experience with local government auditing.;
  3. Partner, Supervisory, and Staff Qualifications and Experience – The firm should identify the principal supervisory and management staff, including partners, managers, other supervisors, and specialists, who would be assigned to the engagement and include information on the local government auditing experience of each person;
  4. Similar Engagements with other Government Entities – The firm shall list the most significant engagements (maximum of 5) performed in the last five (5 years that are similar to the engagement described in this request;
  5. Willingness to meet single audit deadline.
    Failure to provide the above information will result in disqualification of your proposal.
    Proposals shall contain five (5) original documents and one flash drive in a single sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the submitter, the words “REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS FOR INDEPENDENT AUDITING SERVICES”, and mail to Town of Grand Ridge P.O. On October 11, 2011, the Town Council adopted Ordinance 2011-08, CREATING AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING NUISANCES. Over the past couple of weeks, the town has received complaints about the look of some properties in town, which is a clear violation of the cited ordinance.
Attention owners, agents, custodians, lessees, and the occupants of real property within the town limits.
“You are hereby notified that you are required by law to cut and keep cut to a height of not exceeding 12 inches all weeds, grass or underbrush; to remove any trash, debris, refuse or noxious matter located on any property owned, controlled or occupied by you in the town; and also to repair, restore or demolish any unfit or unsafe structure located upon such property, and that upon your failure to do so, the town will cause the nuisance to be abated, and the cost of the nuisance will be assessed against the property upon which the nuisance is located.”
Failure to comply with the Ordinance shall result in fines, and an assessment cost of the nuisance will be assessed against the property.
