Kirby Glenn Poole, age 71, born on November 01,1952 in Chattahoochee, Florida and passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024.
Kirby started his career working in construction during the building of Interstate 10 in Florida. He later retired from Jackson County Road and Bridge Department after 39 years of service. Kirby was affectionately known by his co-workers as “Hack-saw” because of his steady and consistent work. He enjoyed traveling and bracket racing with special friends, Neal Bush and Jeff Gibson.
Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, David and Tessie Poole; brother, Roger Poole; and sister, Wendy Michelle Poole.
Kirby is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Poole; son, Jerry Poole and wife, Carrie, their daughter, Gracie; daughter, Tiffany Poole, and her two sons, Blake and Draden; brother, Mack David Poole and wife, Frances; three sisters, Pat Williams and husband, Jim, Kathy Poole, Glenda Chason and husband, Gary as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Kirby leaves behind many special friends that he enjoyed endless fun with.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Gable officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Wesleyan Church in Sneads, Florida with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, January 31,2024 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
