Joyce Marie Bailey Hodge, 92, entered her Heavenly Home on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Joyce was born in Enid, OK on June 19, 1931, to the late Homer Julius and Pearl Marie Bailey. She was a devoted wife and mother and homemaker. She attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, TX where she met the love of her life, Albert J. Hodge. They were married for 65 wonderful years and were in the fulltime ministry from 1949 until 2007 pastoring churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida. Joyce was the pianist for many of the churches they pastored.
A Home-going service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2023, at the chapel of James and Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville, FL with Rev. Joe Earnest officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
Joyce is survived by two daughters Shara Cowan (Jim), Young Harris, GA, Sandy Williams (Ron), Sugar Hill, GA; three grandchildren Brian Cowan, Austin, TX, Courtney Thomas, Cumming, GA; Cheryl Isbill, Hiram, GA, one great granddaughter Aislyn Thomas; sister Gayola Morrow, Vian, OK; several nieces and nephews.
