James D. Brock, affectionately known as “Jim”, passed away at his beloved home on February 1, 2024, with his devoted and loving wife by his side.

Jim was born in Panama City, Florida on November 6, 1941, to the late Charlie and Jewell Williams Brock. A U. S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, Jim graduate from Stranahan High School, attended Broward Jr. College and finishing at Chipola Jr. College with AS degree. He retired as a Civil Engineer with the Florida Department of Transportation following 33 years. He was a member of Woodville First Baptist Church. Jim was a good strong man, valuable mentor, and role model. One day soon, thoughts of all who knew Jim will bring a smile to their face before it brings a tear to their eye.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim at 2 p.m. (CST), Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home. The time of the visitation for family and friends will be 1 p.m. until the time of service.

The graveside service will be held 2 p.m. (EST), Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Jim is preceded in death by his son Jay Brock.

Survived by his devoted and loving wife, Virginia “Jenny” Brock, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
