On March 8, 2024, Anon Clint Owens Jr. made the transition from this earthly world to be with his Lord and savior in heaven. Clint was born in Chattahoochee, Florida on February 24, 1964, to Anon Owens and Marie Gibson Owens. Clint was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Clint met the love of his life Shellie Darby in high school and their 36-year love story began. Together they raised two wonderful children, Kaleigh Denise Owens Clark and Anon Cody Owens.

He is survived by his precious wife Shellie Owens, his parents, Anon and Marie Owens, two children Kaleigh Clark (Aubra) and Cody Owens (Megan) as well as his grandchildren: Kaybrey Clark, John Luke Clark, Eva Mae Clark, Anon “Jasper” Owens, and Amelia “Crickett” Owens as well as two bonus grandchildren, McKenzie Wright and Maddie Roberts. He was so special that each grandchild had their own special name for him: Grandaddy, Paba, Paw Paw. He is also survived by one sister Tammy Owens James (Don).

Clint attended Sneads High School and graduated in 1982.  He previously worked with the city of Tallahassee and Florida State Hospital. Clint followed in his fathers’ footsteps and developed a passion for restoring vintage vehicles. He owned his own automotive shop where he mentored numerous young men.

He was very talented and had a gift for working with his hands in various fields including carpentry, mechanics, electrician, plumber, and a newer passion for gardening.

He was a child at heart and always made sure that the children in his life had a toy of some sort to ride on. Clint was a man who loved passionately as shown through his dedication and commitment to his family.

He had a compassionate spirit as evidenced by his willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need. He had great faith in the Lord and shared his concern for others’ salvation.

A time of visitation with the family will be held at McAlpin Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Central Time followed by a funeral service to celebrate the life of Clint, beginning at 1:00 PM Central Time with Rev. Bill Mayo officiating.
