Annie Joyce Lovett

Annie Joyce Lovett received the gift of life on Tuesday, July 3, 1951 in Marianna, Florida to the late Frank Lovett and Annie Clark. She entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the home of her daughter.


Joyce professed Christ at an early age and joined New Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church. She later joined Church of God by Faith. Her final Christian walk was with Trinity Community Outreach Ministry where she taught Sunday school and served as Church Mother. She was faithful in her serve to the Lord and was a tremendous giver. She was a woman that truly loved the Lord.


Joyce attended and graduated from the public schools of Jackson County. She was a graduate of the Class of 1969 at Jackson County Training School. She was employed with the State of Florida at Sunland, where she worked as a Behavior Specialist.


My God looked around His garden and found an empty space. In His infinite wisdom and divine will, He call our Joyce home to sweet eternal rest. The Master Gardener has chosen a perfect rose for His heavenly bouquet and placed her where roses bloom always, lasting eternally. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a niece, Lakishia Johnson.


Joyce leaves to cherish her treasured memories with; one son, Ronnie Lovett of Marianna, Florida; two daughters, Lisa Lovett of Marianna, Florida and Denise Lovett of Atlanta; one brother, Melvin Nance of Marianna, Florida; two sisters, Linda Johnson (Benjamin) and Pellie Wilson (Freddie) both of Marianna, Florida; seven grandchildren, Jerrell Lovett, Shante Lovett, Demetri Lovett (Shaneka), Juwan Lovett (Tilya), Rotisha Miller, Aarionna Lovett all of Marianna, Florida and Erica Clethens of Tampa, Florida; special companion, Charles White of Marianna, Florida; special auntie, Ruby Keel of Marianna, Florida; two nieces, Nicole McNealy of Peachtree City, Georgia and Tamiko Nance of Memphis, Tennessee; five nephews, Marcus Johnson, Maurice Johnson, Jeffery Borders all of Marianna, Florida, Dexter Borders (Sharon) and J.B. Borders, Jr. (Kathy) both of Tampa, Florida; special friend, Wilma Robinson of Marianna, Florida; godchildren, Shon Tinsley, Michael Tinsley and Greg Rhynes (Karmen) all of Marianna, Florida; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.


A Glorious Homegoing Celebration was held Sunday, October 16th at 2p.m. at Second West Missionary Baptist Association Church where Reverend Riley J. Henderson is Moderator. Prophet Billy White, Pastor Dennis Libert, Pastor Obediah White, Pastor DeRon Johnson and Pastor Roy Crawley officiated. Interment followed in the Orange Hill Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
