Susan Lynore (Beale) Meyers known to all as Suzie, departed this world to take claim to her home in Heaven on December 14, 2023 in her home in Marianna, Florida, at the age of 64.  She was Born January 20, 1959 the sixth child to Valerie Lenore Anderson Beale, and Russell Kenney Beale II in Chicago, Illinois. In 1977 she married William Widdick.  To that union was born 3 children:  William Howard II {1979), Katherine Noel (1982), and Daniel Russell (1983).  During that marriage, Susan was mother and housewife and sometimes worked as a bookkeeper.  She married Roger Meyers in 1996.

Suzie was loved by all who knew her.  She had many friends, because she was a friend.  She was the last person to judge others.  For instance, she had two friends who had had troubles during their life.  Both of these ladies had a record.  Suzie’s attitude was, “my 2 best friends are felons:“!  She loved people, and has been loved by people.  Another friend, claims that her and Susan are sisters from another mother.  Her friendships are long-standing and real and able to withstand the tests of time and trouble.  Suzie was the kind of person that you could depend on.  During the months of sickness, her friends reached out to show themselves strong on her behalf.  She spoke on how much friends and family truly meant to her.  She loved and was loved.

Suzie is survived by her husband, Roger, and her siblings; Rick Russell (Patty) of Chicago, Ill. ; Russell Kenney III  of Port St. Lucie, Fl. ; Jayson Carl (Linda) of Parkland, Fl. ; Jeffrey Richard of Austin, Tx. ; and Cynthia Joy Hopkins (Dave) of Woodstock, Ga. ; as well as step sons, Bill (Rich) of Woodleaf, N.C.  Jason of Charlotte, N.C. and Chad (Elizabeth) of Grand Ridge, Fl.  She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Her sister Cynthia (Cindy) gave freely of her time during the final months of Suzie’s life.  She and Roger were with her when she passed from this world to the next.

Suzie served with Roger as pastors of 5 churches in Florida and North Carolina.  Her membership is at Salem Wesleyan Church in Sneads, Florida.  She became a Christian early in life, and she lived out her faith.  Her special interests include decorating, which she did at every church they pastored.  Her favorite hobby was thrifting.  Her favorite thing…flamingos.

Neptune Society of Tallahassee handled the details following her death.  A Celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 2:00 pm at Salem Wesleyan Church in Sneads, Florida, at which she was a member.  Rev. Rafael Bellinni will officiate.
