Susan Deborah “Debbie” Shiver, 71 of Graceville, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.
Debbie was born in Sylacauga, Alabama on September 12, 1951, to the late James Chester and Annie Laura Owsley Lucas. Moving to Graceville at an early age, Debbie was a 1970 graduate of Graceville High School. She worked a number of years with the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital and then with the Tom Thumb Store. Debbie loved crocheting, cooking and spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed collecting and watching the Waltons and Little House on the Prairie on old VHS tapes. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, brother Ed, sister Pam and nephew Johnny.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years Donnie Shiver, three children Donnie Shiver, Jr., Derrick Shiver, Donna Jacobson (Daniel), ten grandchildren Destiny, Dustin, Jacob, Dillon, Elena, Dalton, Miracle, Anthony, Drake and Devin, brother Tony Lucas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Her Life will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Dr. Chris Adams officiating. The burial will follow in Mt. Calvary cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday 10 a.m. until time of service.
