Robert Franklin Ivey, 89, of Panama City, Florida died Monday, July 24, 2023 at Gulf Coast Hospital. He was born October 29, 1933 in Huntsville, AL to Herbert and Sallie Ivey. At the age of 17, he joined the Air Force and he proudly served for over 20 years. In 1951 he Married the love of his life, Ruth Gold and they were married 65 years. Due to his Air Force assignments, they lived in many states and had lengthy stays overseas. When Robert retired from the Air Force they decided to call Florida home. They did continue to travel some in their RV and loved attending Bluegrass Festivals. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ivey and son, Bruce Ivey. He is survived by two daughters, Pamela Sill (Steve), Leigh Ann Ivey (Chuck); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 10 AM Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
