Richard C. “Rick” Tidwell, 77, of Marianna, Florida died Friday, October 13, 2023 at his residence.
Rick was born March 1, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from Marianna High School in 1964, then he proudly served his country in the US Army. He loved to watch football, especially Alabama and Florida State Football, watch NASCAR and play bingo. The Chipola River and Mill Pond were his favorite fishing spot and he loved spending time outdoors. He made his living as a salesman and could sell anything to anyone. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Rick never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Tidwell, Jean Willis, Alton Tidwell and Maggie Conrad Tidwell; and sister, Debbie Christensen.
Rick is survived by his daughter, Lisa Colvin (Steven); sons, Sean Davis and Kevin Davis; grandchildren, Rachel Colvin, Taylor McLemore, Leah Williams (Grant), Caleb Colvin; special friend, Sheila Heafner; and brother, Jacky Ditty (Melanie).
Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel Directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
