Patricia Diane Adkins, age 80 of Sneads, Florida passed away on March 1, 2024. She was born to Evelyn Clyde McCormick (Harrell) and Truman Ellson Austin, Sr., on May 25, 1943.
Patricia was a wife, mother, homemaker and an excellent cook. She loved her children and her grand-children dearly. She took great pride in her home and her family. She had a green thumb when it came to flowers and plants and loved working out in her yards and her flowers. No matter where she was or where she went, she never met a stranger and was quite the social butterfly.
Patricia attended meetings and studied with Jehovah’s Witnesses being baptized on July 4, 1987. Patricia went back to Adult Education in 1993 reaching her goal of obtaining her GED.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Pete Adkins and daughter Tina Marie Adkins. She is survived by her daughters; Kristy Ann Pumphrey (Charles) of Marianna, Florida and Merry Kay Adkins of Sneads, Florida; a half-sister, Marcia Beth Raker (Carlos) of Crawfordville, Florida; two half-brothers, Sidney Gwyn Austin (Linda) of Crawfordville, Florida and Truman Ellson Austin, Jr., of Crawfordville, Florida; three grandchildren, Joshua Bradford Adkins, April Michele Edenfield and William Earl Edenfield and two great grandchildren, Tara Lynn Cloud and Tristian Lane Cloud.
In honoring Patricia’s wishes no services will be held and memorialization will be by cremation.
