Mrs. Sonja Davis, of Portsmouth, Virginia, formerly of Marianna, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal at her home on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
Homegoing Celebration of Life services was held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of God’s D.A.R.E. International Worship Center located at 2949 New Hope Road in Marianna, Florida 32448 Pastor Dr. Debra Davis, officiating.
Vann Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Interment was in the Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Marianna, Florida.
A public viewing was held on Friday, November 10, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish a lifetime of fond, yet precious memories, a loving and devoted family:
Husband: Larry Davis
One Daughter: Sondrea Davis
Three Grandchildren: Brendan Pratt, Ayden Pratt and Savana Smith
She was raised by: Nana Barnes of Marianna, Florida
Two Sisters: Cassandra Smith and Martha Williams
One Brother: Lamar Smith
Six Sisters/Cousins: Lolita Barnes, Della Watford, Cynthia Barnes, Nanette Barnes, Adriane Barnes and Marisa Barnes
And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
