Mrs. Elizabeth “Beth” Rentz Austin, 72, of Lynn Haven, FL, a loving wife and mother to four children, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 surrounded by her family who loved her dearly. Beth was born on July 14, 1949 in Graceville, FL to John Daniel Rentz and Madge Stewart Rentz.

Beth lived most of her life in Marianna, FL where she retired as General Manager of the TA Travel Center. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and played the piano and organ there for several years. In 2006 she moved to Bay County to live closer to and work with one of her children. She has been a vital part of their business working as a Manager of a retail hardware store and then as an administrative assistant at Gulf Coast Utility Contractors.

Beth’s favorite thing to do was be with her husband and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the beach, reading, cooking for her family. She enjoyed FSU games with her family for many years.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, John Daniel and Madge Rentz, and sister, Ellen Taylor. She is survived by her husband Wayne Austin of Lynn Haven, FL; two sons, Ronnie Austin of Daphne, AL and Coby Austin and wife Rosie of Choctaw, OK, two daughters, Tammi Swearington and husband Mike of Panama City, FL and Melody Llewellyn and husband Ronnie of Frisco, TX; nine grandchildren, Jordan Hobbs and wife Jessica, Alex Hobbs and wife Kayla, Will Swearington, Maegan Swearington, Gracie Llewellyn, Spencer Llewellyn, Lauren Lewis, Hayes Austin and Rylie Austin who all adored their Grandmother; three great-grandchildren, Bowen Hobbs, Baylor Hobbs and Rylann Hobbs; one sister, Margaret Owens and husband John Cooper Owens of McDonough, GA; two sisters-in-law, Luverne Tidwell and Judy Tipton and husband Roy all of Marianna, FL; along with a host of nieces and nephews. Beth, also affectionately referred to as Memaw, will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 1, 2022 at Southerland Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Hagan officiating. A private graveside service followed at Evergreens Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted at www.southerlandfamily.com
