Mrs. Edith Irene Killingsworth, age 79, of Abe Springs, went home to be with the Lord while her loving husband of 50 years was by her side, and her family surrounded her bedside, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in Gainesville, Florida. Edith was born on June 1, 1944, in Calhoun County, Florida to Jessie and Ivy (Pope) Roberts. She had lived in the Abe Springs Community of Calhoun County all her life. Edith was a devoted homemaker to her family. she loved watching wrestling, going to yard sales, looking at and reading cookbooks, going to thrift stores, but most importantly, she loved her family. She was a member of Abe Springs Baptist Church in the Abe Springs Community of Blountstown. Edith was preceded in death by: her parents Jessie and Ivy (Pope) Roberts; brothers: C.J. Roberts, Alvin Roberts, and Johnny Roberts, sisters, Corrine Roberts; Etta Mae Dean and Alice Jordan. She is survived by:

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 12:00 AM (CDT) at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown, FL with Reverend Allan Pitts, Reverend Michael Morris, and Tim Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Peavy Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 AM (CDT) until service time at 12:00 PM (CDT). Memorialization will be by cremation.
