Mr. Randy Keith Brown, age 62, of Marianna, Florida, formerly of Bonifay, FL known affectionately as Randy, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 8, 2024, in Marianna, Florida. Born on March 18, 1962, in Bonifay, Florida, Randy was the 12th of 13 loving children. His life was marked by devotion to his family, his faith, and his country.

Randy’s early years were spent in the warm embrace of a large family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon Sr. and Louise Robertson Brown, and his siblings: Margaret Chaney, Ann Louise Niles, Aretha Williams, Lily Harris, Idell Peacock, Weldon Brown, Jr., Willie Brown, Roosevelt Brown, and Mary Ann Brown-Wiles. His life was a testament to the strength and love that comes from such an extensive family network, including his grandparents, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Randy’s legacy is carried on by his loving and devoted wife, Carolyn Franklin Brown, and his cherished children, Tory Jamel Brown of Tampa, Florida, and Tanzania Brown of Marianna, Florida. His memory will also be treasured by his remaining brother Benny Ray Brown of Bonifay, Florida, and his sisters Essie and Dorothy Brown, both of Orlando, Florida. His sisters-in-law Martha Keys, Betty J. Jenkins, Vera Banks, Ruby Brown, Ora Brown, Evelyn Dudley, Milton (Cynthia) Franklin, Howard Jr. (Lurna) Franklin, James (Kina) Franklin, Theo (Sabrina) Franklin, and Curtis McDaniel, will hold dear the times they shared with Randy.

A graduate of Holmes County High School in Bonifay, Florida, Randy was known for his commitment to his education and his community. His early acceptance of Christ led him to a life of service at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Bonifay, Florida where he was an active member, singing in the choir and assisting wherever he was needed. His work in the church was a reflection of his faith and his willingness to support others.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable discharge for his service. He found his calling on the open road as a long-distance truck driver after his military service, a career that allowed him to see the country and meet people from all walks of life. He continued this work until his retirement, bringing the same dedication and loyalty to his profession as he did to every aspect of his life.

Throughout his life, Randy’s greatest joy came from loving his family. He was a beacon of warmth and hospitality, often entertaining at his home and savoring moments at his favorite restaurants. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness to those who knew him.

Randy’s life was a living example of the words of Mother Teresa: “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.” His kindness and generosity of spirit ensured that everyone he met was touched by his love and left with a smile.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers, sister-in-law, and nieces who provided unwavering support and care to Randy in his final days. Their dedication and love were a source of great comfort to him and his family.

Mr. Randy Keith Brown’s life was a tapestry woven with the threads of love, service, and devotion. He will be profoundly missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will live on as a guiding light and an inspiration to love fully and serve others selflessly.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2024, 1-6 PM, at the funeral home, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida.

Funeral services will be 11AM, Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the M. Sue & Rodney D. Pittman Memorial Chapel, 5441 Cooper Street, Graceville, Florida with military honors under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
