Mr. Moses Lee Toombs of Marianna, Florida entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 21st at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan. He was 85 years of age.
He was of the Baptist faith and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from the Jackson County School System, where he worked at Marianna High School for years.
He leaves treasured memories with his wife, Alice Toombs of Marianna, Florida; a daughter, Dmika Bowers of Dothan, Alabama; two brothers, Sylvester Toombs of Marianna and Floyd Toombs and wife Shirley of Thomasville, Georgia; two sisters, Ozella Bell and husband PeeWee of Thomasville, Georgia and Bobbie Scott of Tampa, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, July 29th at 11:00a.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Baker, Reverend Carlton Cotton, and Dmika Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
