Mr. Kenneth Nix age 69 of, Gordon, AL passed away Monday, April 01, 2024, at Jackson Hospital in Marianna, FL surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. April 13th at the Greater Antioch Baptist Church located at 68 Willoughby Road Gordon, AL with Reverends Eddie B. Smith, Wendell McGriff, Gary Whitehurst and Claude Holden officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing.
A Public viewing for family and friends will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, April 12th at the Shira Sr., and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located at 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL.
Kenneth Wayne Nix was born November 23, 1954 in Donalsonville, GA to the late Charlie Nix, Jr. and Laura Mae Collins Nix. He loved singing, gardening and spending time with family. He was well known in his community and will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Evelyn Louise Nix, Charles Nix and Darrell Nix.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters: Kaywanda R. Nix and Kanetha Nix; three grandchildren: Makayla Curry, Makiyah Nix and McKenzie Nix; one sister: Ruby D. Harris; three brothers: Henry Nix, Gregory Nix and Lawrence Nix (Brenda); one uncle: Billy Collins of Bascom, FL; one aunt: Velma Collins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two nieces: Shawanda Harris Vickers (Guy) of Ft. Lee, NJ and Shavala Nix of Dothan, AL; three nephews: Terez Harris of Atlanta, GA, Shadrick Nix (Tamara) of Enterprise, AL and Maurice Nix (Alvinet) of Virginia Beach, VA; two special friends: James and Jimmy Tiggs and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
