Michael Huggins, 66, passed away Thursday October 12, 2023. Michael was born July 24, 1957, in Okinawa, Japan to Horace and Yoshi Huggins. Michael was raised in Calhoun County and lived in Samson, AL for the last 30 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing. Michael worked in the retail grocery business until his retirement. He is survived by his parents, Horace and Yoshi Huggins of Blountstown; brothers, Curtis K Huggins and Michelle of Altha, Horace Junior Huggins of Blountstown, Charles Nephi Huggins of Clarksville; sisters, Akiko “Coty” Stoutamire and Bill of Blue Creek, Matsu Bell Green of Blountstown, Meiko Whitfield of Bristol; nephews, Sam (Dawn) Greene, Jon (Chasity) Greene, Morgan (Taylor) Huggins, Brandon (Madison) Huggins, Trenten Huggins, Rick (Terri) Stoutamire; nieces, Brandi (Chuck) McCranie, Hana (Toby) Williams, April Huggins, Stephanie (Tony) Barrington, Becky (Jeff) Balentine; and a host of great nieces and nephews. The visitation will be held Tuesday October 17, 2023, from 10:00 AM (CT) until 11:00 AM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM (CT) with Reverend Kyle Peddie officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Memorial Cemetery in Blountstown, FL. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
