Mamie Howell Hamilton, 85, of Chattahoochee died Sunday, November 12, 2023. Mamie was born August 24, 1938, in Hosford, Florida to JW and Sallie Howell. She loved the Lord and attended Church as long as she was able. She loved her family dearly. Mamie enjoyed music, spending time with her dogs and cats and especially loved the Christmas Season.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Hamilton; parents, JW Howell and Sallie Ann Howell; stepchildren, Dallas Hamilton, Raymond Hamilton; siblings, Lillian Howell, James Earl Howell, J.W. Howell; half sisters, Evelyn Clark and Gertrude Howell Graham; brother-in-law, Donald Hamilton.
Mamie is survived by stepchildren, Roger (Pat), Patsy, Jan (Randy), Shiela and Sidney; nieces and nephews, Larry Graham (Zandra), Barbara Burnett, Sandra Pennington (Jeff), Linda Edenfield (Ruben), Martha Dale Burke (Joe), Keith Hamilton (Cheryl), Diane Dennin (Kevin), and Dawn Chambliss (Keith); and sister-in-law, Jearldene Hamilton.
Funeral services will be 1PM (CST) Friday, November 17, 2023, at James & Sikes Sneads Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Chattahoochee, Florida with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at James & Sikes Sneads Chapel.
