Lillian Miller Shiver age 99, passed away peacefully in her home May 28, 2023, with her daughter and Grandson by her side. She was born to her late parents Joseph and Maudie Miller, on August 13, 1923, in Macon, Ga. After a short while the family moved to Panama City, Florida where Lillian grew up. It was in church that she met the love of her life, JV Shiver from Graceville, Fl., who happened to be visiting her church. They were married, May 4, 1943, just 5 days before shipping off to the Navy and World War ll. After nearly 75 years of Marriage, her loving husband JV preceded her in death on December 27, 2017.
Lillian loved being a homemaker and a doting mother. She was a beautiful southern woman with an infectious laugh. She loved cooking and baking for family and friends and always had a fresh cake in her cake saver! Most of all she loved her family.
Lillian was also preceded in death by sons Jimmy Vernon Shiver and Terry Lynn Shiver, and brothers Jack Miller and David Miller.
Lillian is survived by her daughter, Patsy Shiver Ansley, grandson, Frank Ansley; and great granddaughter and namesake, Lillian (Lilly) Ansley, all of Panama City, FL.
A Home-going service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2023, at New Home Baptist Church with Revs. Russell Ward and Brian Taylor officiating. Burial will follow church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home directing.
