John Marcus Dodson, Jr. (Marc) passed away suddenly of congestive heart failure on September 30, 2020 in Tallahassee, FL at the age of 37.
Marc is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Shirley, his parents Linda and John Dodson, Sr., siblings Elizabeth Terry (Ashton Sr.), and Christopher Dodson, and his nephew (Ashton Jr.) and niece (Madeline).
Marc was born December 27, 1982 in Tampa, FL. He graduated from Paul R. Wharton High School (Tampa) in 2001, Ringling School of Art and Design (Sarasota) with a B.F.A. in Illustration in 2006. There he further expanded his love of art and illustration. Marc also graduated from Academy of Art University with a M.F.A. in 2013. Marc and Shirley have resided in Tallahassee since 2008.
