Elizabeth Johnson, 64, of Sneads, Florida died Sunday, June 9, 2024, at Northwest Florida Community Hospital in Chipley.
She was born March 2, 1960, in Tallahassee, Florida to Roy and Pearl Mills. She spent her entire life in Jackson County, Florida, where she worked at the Florida State Hospital for 33 years before retiring. In her spare time she enjoyed solving word searches and playing Facebook games. Elizabeth cherished her home and the tranquility it provided, finding contentment in the quiet moments.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don Johnson, Roy Mills Jr.; sister, Carolyn Ortega.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Johnson; son, Joshua Johnson and friend, Cameron Jackson; one sister, Theresa Johnson; grandchildren, Brian Barnes, Tiffany Thurman, Austin Thurman, Destiny Thurman and husband, Donovan; and five great grandchildren: Raelyn Hodges, Jace Thurman, Sebastian Smith, Conner Thurman and Alma Thurman.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, June 13, 2024, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Pastor Jimmy Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Waldroff Cemetery in Grand Ridge with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing.
The family will receive friends Thursday, from 9 AM until the time of service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
