Donald Raymond Mears, age 68, passed away Tuesday October 10, 2023. Donald was born January 5, 1955, to Coy Henry Mears and Helen O’Bryan Mears. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Lawrence Hathaway; brother, Bobby Mears; sister, Betty Hodge; nephews, Steve Mears Jr, and Chase Donahue. He is survived by his brothers, Steve Mears Sr and Pat of Blountstown, Jackie Mears of Lake Talquin, Clinton Mears and Lori Ann Earnest of Blountstown, Bill Mears and Sherry Barber of the Alliance Community; sister, Shirley Mears Davis of Blountstown; special niece, Stephanie Mears of Clarksville; several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held Sunday October 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM (CT) until 2:00 PM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel in Blountstown. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM (CT) with Reverend Allan Nichols officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Altha.
