Donald Lee Anderson, age 69, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023 while surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Don was born in Crawfordville, FL on November 11, 1954 and was one of six siblings. He was a resident of Alford, FL for the last 20 years. Don served in the United States Army and was a mechanic by trade. He loved working on anything that had an engine and could fix most anything, especially electronics. Don loved motorcycles, cars, and deep sea fishing in the gulf.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annette Strickland Sasser; father, Jerry Anderson; brothers, Jimmy Anderson, Gerald Ray Anderson, Danny Dean Anderson, and half brother, Jamie Len Sasser
Don is survived by two children, Christy Rena Anderson of Keamey, MO and Daniel Lee Anderson of Moberly, MO; one sister, Patty Dula of Blairsville, GA; and a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles and cousins.
No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or plant a tree in his memory.
