Debra L. Baxley, 62 of Graceville passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Debra was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 15, 1961. A 1979 graduate of Rehobeth High School, Debra received her M.Ed. (master?s in education) from Troy University, teaching at various public and private schools in Alabama and Florida. She taught at Florida State College in Jacksonville, Florida before her retirement. Debra truly enjoyed her teaching career from teaching kids to teaching adults. Her favorite pastime was enjoying Alabama and Troy football to enjoying and playing with animals.
She is preceded in death by nephew Jason Kirkland.
Survived by her beloved husband of 32 years Todd Baxley, her father Terry Perry, mother Callie Ann Fennell, brother-in-law, and sisters-in-law Andrew ?Andy? Baxley (Joanne), Ann Kirkland (Robert), Marsha Scott (Buddy), special nieces Jessica Strickland (Matt), Sandi Kirkland, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. We cannot forget to include her fur babies Critter, Firecracker, Alex, Bear, Big Al, Denny, Barker, Saban, Bama, Crimson and Ala.
