Bonnie Mae Nelson, 94, of Marianna passed into peaceful sleep on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at Marianna Health & Rehab. She was born in Cypress, Florida on March 28, 1928, to James and Donnie Hare Roberts, Sr.
She worked at several different jobs throughout her life. Bonnie especially enjoyed working in her yard, in her flower beds. She was a good wife, mother, homemaker, daughter and an especially good sister. Most of all, she was a good person! Bonnie loved playing the games Aggravation, Solitaire, and she enjoyed fishing. We will miss her very much!
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, James Roberts and Donnie Hare Roberts; husband, Ervin Nelson; only daughter, Gail Wolstenholme; only son, Michael Tinsley; brothers Fred Roberts, Donald Roberts and Julian Roberts.
Her survivors include four siblings: two brothers, Millard Roberts and wife, Cherry, and David Roberts and wife, Mary Lou; and two sisters, Alice (Vi) Roberts Shoptaw and husband, Bobby, and Avis Roberts Blair and husband, Don. Bonnie is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jason Tinsley, Abraham Tinsley, and Jacob Tinsley, Yvonne Dilts and R.J. Dilts, McGregor Wolstenholme and Bobbi Wolstenholme.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 9, 2022, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Rev. Steve Wolgamott officiating and James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. Interment will follow at Salem Wesleyan Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
