Allyn Thomas Lambes, 81, of Marianna, passed away on November 17, 2023 in Marianna at his home.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. on November 21st at James & Sikes Funeral Home in Marianna, FL with a memorial immediately following at 10:00 a.m.
Allyn was born in Bloomington, Illinois to Nichols and Joy Lambes on September 25th, 1942. He married Carolyn Ann Brock on June 25th, 1967, in Marianna, FL. He began work as a broadcaster for WJOE in Port St. Joe, then WTYS in Marianna, WONS WBGM FM in Tallahassee. Later he was at WMAI in Panama City Beach, FL. After moving to Marianna he worked as the Parts Manager for Peacock Motor Company. Finally, he settled into Tri-States Automotive Warehouse where he worked for 32 years. Allyn served in the Army National Guard and was involved in the Chipola Amateur Radio Club with the call sign N4KNR.
Allyn is preceded in death by his mother and father, his in-laws Sidney and Edna Brock; brothers-in-law, Don Brock and Wayne Brock, and his constant four-legged companion Buddy.
Allyn is survived by his wife of 56 years Carolyn Lambes, his daughter, Kris Hobbs and her husband Ryan of Tallahassee; his grandchildren, Blake and Hadley Hobbs of Tallahassee; his sister-in-law, Betty Young (Wayne) of Marianna; sister-in-law, Billie Brock of Georgia, brother-in-law, Bill Brock of Texas; and 13 nieces and nephews.
