She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lane Arcaro and husband, Jim; daughter in-law, Margie Lane; grandchildren, Tom and Patty Lane, Laura and husband, Craig Mancil, David and Leslie Lane, Mike and Courtney Doss, and Lane Doss; great grandchildren, Lauren West and husband, Andrew, Luca Mancil, Reagan Doss, Rachel Doss, Jordan Doss, John (JT) Steverson, Katie Byrd, Brittney Pippin; great-great grandchildren, Sadie Creamer, Ellee Creamer, Brentley Creamer, and Tharen Abbott; sisters, Emma Mae Tice and Sybil Compton; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.

Alongside her husband of 67 years she served God, her family, and the Church faithfully. She became a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Panama City in 1960, where she was a Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and visited nursing homes weekly for many years. More recently she joined First Baptist Church of Panama City. She also worked at Belk Hudson for 15 years.

She was fondly known for her hospitality and cooking, which was her greatest joy and pleasure to do for family, church, friends, and shut-ins. She was a strong and tenacious woman, enduring many challenging times in her long life. Since Hurricane Michael she weathered the loss of her home, son, multiple moves, sickness, but fought hard to live on until the very end. She was dearly loved by all and loved others well. She will be greatly missed! We are grieving but with hope, as we know she is truly resting with Christ!

2 Corinthians 5:8 “We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”

The family wishes to thank Grand South Living Facility of Dothan, AL for their exceptional care these past few months and going above and beyond for “Grandma!”

Funeral service and celebration of her beautiful life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church in Panama City, FL on November 19, 2021. Visitation is at 12:00PM, service at 1:00PM, followed by interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
