Ms. Thelma Bettie Jean Hammond Knight Ross, of Marianna, gained her heavenly wings on March 10, 2022 in the Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. She was 78 years old. Thelma was reared in a Christian home and accepted Christ into her life at an early age. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the exciting St. James AME Church. Treasured memories will forever remain with many relatives, the Wilson, Dawson, Lee, Livingston, Riley and Hayes Families; and dear friends. A homegoing celebration will be held Saturday, March 26th at 11a.m. at the Exciting St. James AME Church with Rev. James Dixon, Rev. Joe Tripp, Rev. Hollis McClendon and Rev. Ronald D. Mizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Springfield AME Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
