Ms. Earon Mckinnie Gibson age 73 of Graceville, FL passed away Wednesday February 7th at Signature Healthcare in Graceville, FL.

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Saturday February 17th at Shira Sr. and Chelcie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Rd Campbellton, FL with the Reverend Arlester McCalister officiating. Interment will follow in the Holyneck cemetery located 3395 Cemetery Lane Campbellton, FL and with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. A public viewing will be held 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday February 16th at the funeral home.

Earon Mckinnie Gibson, also known as Baby Sister, was born on September 2, 1950, in Marianna, FL. She was the youngest child of the late Matthew Sr.and Earon Ward Mckinnie. Earon accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of St. Phillip Missionary Baptist Church. She later married her late husband Clifford Gibson.

Earon attended St. Paul High School and later pursued higher education at Chipola College. She had a successful career as the 2nd African American Chef for Amtrak, where she also worked as a dietitian. Earon served her community in Miami FL for many years as activists for civil rights. In her free time, Earon enjoyed singing and entertaining others. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her talents brought joy to those around her and left a lasting impression.                           

Earon McKinnie is preceded in death by her son Reginald Spires and her siblings;         Ola Mae Lyttle, Bernice Williams, Annie Lee Davis, Irene Reed, Theodore R.Mckinnie, and Jesse Mckinnie.

Earon leaves to cherish her memory her children:

Tangela Kelly (Rev. Joseph), Reginald Spires, Diondrick Gibson and Cashmonique Mckinnie

Her siblings:                                                                                                              Matthew Mckinnie Jr, Jewel Mckinnie, and Major Mckinnie.

Her Grandchildren: Jaliesa Kelley, Joseph Isaiah Kelley, Justin Spires, Jasmine Spires, Jayda Spires and D’Niya Gibson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
