Mrs. Mary Jane Hoover age 86 of Campbellton, FL passed away Friday October 22nd 2021, surrounded by her loving family.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 30th at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Campbellton, Florida with Reverend Oscar Massey officiating, interment will follow in the Holyneck Cemetery located at 3395 Cemetery Lane Campbellton, FL with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, Florida directing.


A public viewing will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, October 29th, at the Shira Sr. and Chelcie McKinnie Memorial Chapel.


Mary Jane Lewis-Hoover was born February 10, 1935 in Campbellton, FL.; she was the first of seven children born to the late Robert Lee Lewis and the late Martha Lee Lewis.
She was converted at an early age and joined Holyneck Baptist Church in Campbellton, FL. After she married the late John B. Hoover, she joined New Bethel C. M. E. Church in Campbellton. She was a faithful member at New Bethel serving on the Missionary Board and she was a member of the Choir.


She loved singing, spending time with family, and traveling (she loved to go).
She was preceded in death by her husband: John B. Hoover; parents: Robert Lee & Martha Lee Lewis; four siblings: Willie Lee Lewis, Kay Lewis, Odell Lewis and RD Lewis.
She leaves to cherish memory: siblings: Robert L. Lewis, Jr. (Carrie) of Tampa, FL and Lola B. Capehart of Dade City, FL; two nieces she raised as daughters: Dorothy Lee Jackson of Slocomb, AL. and Patricia Bellamy of Dade City, FL.; sisters-in-laws: Mattie Lewis, Ida Lewis and Betty Lewis; and a host of sorrowful nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
