Nora Baxley Edgerton, 89, of Graceville, Florida, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness. Nora was born in Slocomb, Alabama on December 4, 1929, to the late Willie and Nena Baxley. A graduate of Holmes County High School, Nora was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Graceville. She was also a member of the Graceville Garden Club, Twix and Tweens, and a volunteer at the Campbellton-Graceville Hospital. She retired from Graceville Oil Company after over 40 years as a bookkeeper. She continued bookkeeping for several businesses, up until her passing. Nora was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, and friend, who was devoted to helping others. She enjoyed playing dominos, doing the jumble, traveling the world, spending time with her family, and her beloved dogs Sugar and Taco.

Nora is predeceased by brothers Harold, Lloyd, JB and sisters Flora, Margaret, and Bertha. She is survived by her two daughters: Phyllis Vaughn-Gadd (Chris) of Tallahassee and Lenora Quimby of Vero Beach; Grandchildren Tara, Taylor, Alex (Kim), Nora, and Lily; 4 great-grandsons Will, Grayson, Cal and Tye, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home in Graceville, Friday, May l7th from 5-7 pm. The funeral will be held at First Baptist Church, Saturday, May l8th at l0 am. Naethan Hendrix and Duane Baxley will officiate the service, with burial to follow at Noma Cemetery. 

Flowers are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Graceville.
