Minister Jacquelyn E. McGriff of Bascom, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her residence with a loving family by her side.
Minister McGriff was a devoted member of the New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church. To know her was to love her.


Homegoing services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 5239 Liberty Hill Road in Bascom, Florida 32423 where Elder Doctor Nelson D. Wilson is the pastor. Interment will be in the Liberty Hill Cemetery. Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.


A public viewing will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.


Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Guidance will be followed for social distancing and the requirement of a mask for the viewing and funeral service.


Minister McGriff leaves to cherish her legacy of love, the Word, and lasting memories, a loving and devoted family:

Six Sisters: Jerry (Henry) Boyd of Marianna, Florida; Deloris McGriff Lugg of Manalapan, New Jersey; Barbara McRae of Toledo, Ohio; Bettye (William) Taylor of Browns Mills, New Jersey; Ethel McGriff, Genoa Williams, and Sallye (Carl) McCollough all of Bascom, Florida

Three Brothers: Willis (Christine) McGriff of Copperas Cove, Texas, David (Alice) McGriff of Valdosta, Georgia, and Herman (Tonja) McGriff, Sr. of Spanaway, Washington

Two Aunts: Odistine McGriff of Bascom, Florida and Rosetta Green of Miami, Florida

Two Special Sisters in Christ: Millie Edwards of Greenwood, Florida and Marilyn Miller of Fayetteville, North Carolina

Special Spiritual Daughter: Geraldine (Robert) Harvis of Panama City, Florida

And a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, spiritual children, and many devoted friends.
