Mr. Wayne Mitchell, age 64, of Dothan, Alabama, formerly of Graceville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at his residence in Dothan, Alabama.
He was a native of Jackson County, Florida. Wayne was preceded in death by his wife: Johnnie Marion Mitchell; parents: Bishop Walter G. Mitchell and Loraine Jemison Mitchell; sisters and brothers: Loretta, Effie, Samuel Earl, Gloria Jean, David Lee, Leanora Mitchell, Walter Jr., Willie, Renor, W. T., Rosa Bell, Lila, and Ida B. and Elmira Wilkins and brother-in-law, Leandis Mitchell.
He is survived by his brothers: Isaiah Mitchell, Detroit, Michigan, Jesse Mitchell of Dothan, Alabama and Tony Mitchell both of Daleville, Alabama and Vander (Ann) Mitchell of Century, Florida; sisters: Marie (J. Elliott) Crowder, Pensacola, Florida, Mary Mack of Ozark, Alabama, Dyann (Dewane) Morland, Enterprise, AL and Mary Bradley both of Century, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family has planned a private celebration under the directions of Christian Memorial Chapel of Graceville, Florida.
