Mr. Watios Boyd of San Jose, California formerly of Blountstown, Florida transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Monday, December 23, 2019 in San Jose, California.
Mr. Boyd dedicated 26 years of his life to the service of our country and retired in 1987 as a Senior Noncommissioned officer in the United States Army. He distinguished himself by receiving two bronze stars for his actions in the Vietnam War. He was also employed by IBM for years.
Celebration of Life services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the Saint Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church located at 16076 SE River Street in Blountstown, Florida where the Reverend Angus Jackson, Jr. is the pastor. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Blountstown, Florida with military honors. Vann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Boyd will lie in state at the church from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
A viewing will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Vann Funeral Home.

His loving wife of 56 years: Maggie Whitley Boyd of San Jose, CA
His two sons: Watios (Natalie) Boyd, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, and Sean M. Boyd of San Jose, CA
His Brothers: Monroe Boyd of Sanford, FL, Elmore (Juanita) Boyd of Blountstown, FL, William Boyd of Marianna, FL, and Jesse Boyd of Blountstown, FL
His sister: Dollie Jean Boyd of Blountstown, FL
A very special aunt: Mrs Alberta Boyd of Blountstown, FL
Four grandchildren: Taiquita (Christopher) Arden, Sydney Foskey, Dustin Stotler and Harrison Boyd
Great granddaughter: Zerrin Ardan
And many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
