Tony R. Jackson, 60 of the Poplar Springs Community, Graceville, Florida, passed a away Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Tony was born in Graceville on July 7, 1961. A 1980 graduate of Poplar Springs High School, Tony received a certificate of Law Enforcement and began his career working as a Jailer for Jackson County and Holmes County Sheriff’s Department. Along with farming Tony worked as a Correctional Officer for the FDOC Holmes Correctional Institute for several years. He retired after 20 years with the Federal Correctional Institution in Marianna, FL. Tony was kindhearted and always enjoyed doing things for others and helping any way he could.
A Celebration of Life will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 13, 2021, at E. Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 12, 2021, 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Preceded in death by his father Billy L. Jackson, maternal grandparents Ottis and Irene Register, paternal grandparents Gillis and Nellie Jackson.
Survived by his wife Sara Jackson, mother Mary Hazel Register Jackson, Graceville; five step-children Emily Hill, Katy, TX, Sarah Brock, Tallahassee, FL, Glen Ramsey, US Army, Hawaii, Patrick Ramsey, Bristol, FL, Trey Ramsey, Graceville, FL; twenty step grandchildren; three special cousins Perry “Roger” Jackson, Teresa Sheets and Cindy Jackson.
