Tessa E. Baggett, 90 of Graceville entered her heavenly home on Monday, February 7, 2022, following a sudden illness.

Tessa was born in Graceville on December 26, 1931, to the late Manos and Trudie Tindel Evans.  A graduate of Graceville High School, Tessa worked in her early years with Tindel-Watford Hardware. After the closing of the hardware store, she then went to work with West Florida Electric Cooperative for a number of years before going to work and retiring from Vanity Fair Mills. Tessa loved to stay busy, so she became a sitter for a very special couple. She was an active member of Damascus Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School reporter and bell ringer.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband C.C. Baggett, Jr., daughter Beverly Bell, two stepsons Benny Baggett, Joe Baggett, two sisters Mary Farmer, Ruth Hinson and brother Floyd Evans.

She is survived by her son-in-law James Bell (Gail), Graceville, one grandson Kevin Baggett, two great grandsons Christopher Baggett, Dewayne Baggett, one sister Dot Whitaker (Wiley), a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Home-going service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2022, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Revs. Brian Taylor and Chester Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery, James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, 1 p.m. until time of service.
