Sybil G. Andreasen, age 84, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 at her home with Randal and wife, Tandi by her side.
Sybil was born in Bainbridge, GA, on June 14, 1938 to the late Carlton and Lois Griffin. Sybil graduated from Bainbridge High School where she was a proud 4-H Club member. She attended Chipola College, Florida State University, and Troy University earning her Associates Degree. Sybil was a Para-Professional at Adult Education and in the 1960’s worked for the State of Florida Welfare Department. She was also the proud owner and instructor for Sybil’s Dance Academy, teaching and influencing many over the 20 years of operation. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Bainbridge, GA, and Eastside Baptist Church where she was a part of the music ministry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Andreasen.
Sybil is survived by her two sons, Randal Andreasen and wife, Tandi of Santa Fe, TX, and Rodney Andreasen and wife, Donna of Compass Lake, FL; sister, Patsy Griffin of Bainbridge, GA; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Eastside Baptist Church with Reverend Dallis Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Bainbridge, GA with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Eastside Baptist Church.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Joseph Walton, Jr, Anthony Walton, Matthew Walton, Tony Mitchell, Andy Andreasen, and Steven Newman.
The family would like to personally thank the caring staff at Covenant Care and Panhandle Angels for the compassion they provided during this time. They would also like to thank her special friends that were by her side throughout this time.
